EQ: How does self-perception affect how we interact with the world around us?

Facilitator Training Day is a crucial preparation event for HYPE, equipping students with the skills and confidence needed to lead meaningful discussions. The training emphasizes the role of facilitators in guiding conversations, maintaining neutrality, and encouraging thoughtful dialogue.

Throughout the day, facilitators engage in activities designed to build their confidence, develop active listening skills, and navigate challenging discussions. They participate in small- and large-group conversations, practicing techniques to manage group dynamics and keep discussions productive. Facilitators also receive essential materials, including strategies for effective facilitation and key discussion topics, ensuring they are well-prepared for HYPE Day.

 

The training highlights the importance of open-mindedness, curiosity, and adaptability in leading discussions. Facilitators learn to handle obstacles such as dominant speakers or difficult topics while fostering an inclusive environment. The day concludes with reflections on the training experience, reinforcing key takeaways and preparing facilitators to confidently lead conversations during HYPE.
